George Bond

 General Notes:
George Bond was working with his father, also George, as a painter and house decorator. Between 1881 and 1891, they moved from the High Street to Old Hill to a newsagents shop. George was listed as Painter and Newsagent but by 1901 his wife, Sarah Ann was running the newsagents and he was concentrating on decorating. Sarah carried on with the newsagents after George's death in 1904.
In the 1871 census, George was registered as living with his in-laws with profession of gunsmith.
George married Sarah Ann Sommers, daughter of William Sommers and Catherine, in 1868 in Birmingham. (Sarah Ann Sommers was born in 1849 in Tamworth, Staffs.)
